AI floor plan from a sketch or a description

Sketch the rooms on paper, write the sizes on them, take a photo. Back comes a clean floor plan in DWG. No sketch? Describe the house in a sentence, and Horezmi proposes a layout you can then reshape in words.

How it works

  1. 01

    Sketch or describe

A rough sketch with sizes in feet or metres, or words like «ranch 48×28 ft, 3 bedrooms, garage».

  2. 02

    Get the plan

Walls, doors and windows, room names and areas, dimension lines, on a sheet in your standard; elevations and 3D on request.

  3. 03

    Change it in words

«Make the living room 2 feet longer», «move the door to the hall». Every change is a new version, and you can go back.

A real example

A machine part drawn in isometric with sizes taken from a sketchSent
A ranch house plan drawn from a one-line descriptionCame out
Real runs: a part with sizes taken from a sketch, and a ranch house drawn from the words «ranch 48×28 ft, 3 bedrooms, garage».

What you get

  • A floor plan in DWG and DXF, with layers and dimensions
  • A PDF sheet to scale
  • Elevations, a section and a 3D model on request
  • Room schedule and a bill of quantities

What Horezmi does not do

  • From words alone you get a sensible layout to start from. It is not an architect's design.
  • Sizes missing from the sketch are filled in by proportion, and you are told which ones.
  • Structure, loads and building codes are not checked. Treat the drawing as a draft.

Questions

Do I need to draw to scale?

No. Write the sizes on it. The drawing follows the numbers you wrote, not how long the lines on paper are.

Can it draw other things than houses?

Yes: parts with dimensions, tanks and vessels, site plans, contours for CNC cutting with G-code.

What does it cost?

The first $5 are free; a typical plan is about $0.50, a change about $0.25.
